We just have our first pregnant fish now, so without having used the breeder box yet, I can only comment on the assembly and first impressions. Overall, first impressions are great. It’s a nice size, feels secure, and looks good. My 13-year-old son was able to assemble it himself in 15-20 minutes. (He did have to switch two sides because the lock didn’t line up. This was partly due to the way the instructions go down one page and up the other instead of straight across – but they are clearly numbered.) He has it suctioned to his tank now and we like the way we don’t have to keep the lid up like with his last one that hung over the edge.
