I bought this case for little “potion vials” (mini crafting vials/bottles) to go along with a small cauldron bowl for my 4 year old’s #1 Christmas list wish—Harry Potter magic potion kit. Since I couldn’t find such a gift, I had to improvise and make one. This case was a great solution for the very much breakable vials! They fit perfectly, and there was actually more room than I expected. I had an assortment of at least 3 different sized bottles in it, in both height and width. Each sized bottle fits snuggly because of the elastic bands. The bands are wide and meant to secure. The outer shell of the case is semi-hard with just enough “give” to it to help make it more packable, if needed.A little helpful background to attest to the case serving its purpose…My daughter is over a month out of constant playing with her kit—every day, all day—and the case is still completely intact! The elastic hasn’t lost its flexibility; the case hasn’t dented in; and the zipper still works in a “heavy duty” capacity. This is all a major deal, as my newly 4 year old is NOT gentle—not even the slightest. She is very much unintentionally destructive and rough on/with things. Nothing lasts long with her. And “by long”, I mean that if a toy survives days to a week, it’s lived a long life in her care. She also carries everything she owns in a backpack, which she literally carries everywhere—EVERYWHERE. This backpack is so crammed full that she sits on it more often than not simply to zip it. Further, in a day’s time, it is repeatedly being dropped, hit, smashed, etc. Why am I telling you this? Because the case with the vials in it are always inside the backpack, if not being played with. This case has prevented any breakage and has stayed practically brand new itself. If it can withstand my daughter, it can withstand a lot and will last a long while!
