Flat Leather Slip Dog Collars

Description A simple flat bridle leather slip (check) dog collar with 2 strong solid cast brass or nickel plated rings, forming a loop. These are useful for training your dog to walk on the lead without pulling. They’re available in a range of widths, sizes and colours to suit tiny dogs up to huge dogs for that extra control! Choose a length and width appropriate to the size and type of dog though the finer ones can be used in the show ring but not suitable on strong dogs for everyday use. Fitted and used correctly, these collars should be positioned at the top of the neck, just behind the ears so this is where you need to measure for size. They are not recommended to be left on the dog unsupervised, for safety. Sizing – The length of the collar is the measurement of the leather excluding the rings so make sure you can comfortably pass this over your dog’s head! For most dogs, the sizing is similar to that of a buckled collar so measure your dog’s neck then add 4″ (10cm) and this should be the length you need to order – please check on larger breeds as you may need to allow extra length to fit over the head!
